Find a Photographer in Romford

A historic market town and one of the major commercial hubs of Essex, its quite easy to find a photographer in Romford. However, few have the range of services offered by us at Ross Holding Photography, a family run firm.

Built over a tributary of the River Thames, Romford has been a major entry point to the capital since the Middle Ages. Few reminders of its ancient past remain. However, the thriving market has a history going back to 1247, with the nearby Golden Lion, thought to be the second oldest public house in England, dating back to 1440. Its one of a number of historic pubs catering for weddings.

There is certainly plenty of work for the wedding photographer in Romford, with a large number of churches and other ecclesiastical venues to cover every religious denomination. A popular choice is the parish church of St Edward the Confessor, a Victorian Gothic building built on a site dating back to 1410. If you prefer a civic ceremony, the beautifully named Valentines Mansion is just four miles away.

The town has a constant supply of work for a great photographer. Romfords historic Star Brewery is sadly no more, but the site has been developed as the Brewery shopping and leisure complex. As well as a bowling alley, restaurants, fitness centre, shops and cinema, theres an award winning play centre and childrens party venue perfect for the family photographer, an area we specialise in. Romford has another such club at its Liberty Shopping Centre.

Other places you might see a professional photographer include Romford Ice Arena and Romford Greyhound Stadium. However, if you require a more formal portrait session, we at Ross Holding Photography have our own fully equipped studio right near the town centre.
