Pregnant women and their bumps are part of the whole pregnancy experience, exciting and definitely something not wanting to forget. Also they make stunning photographs. Some people look at being pregnant as being fat and getting depressed which is something I can’t understand. I have never been pregnant myself, but when I do see a pregnant lady, I certainly don’t look at them thinking wow they are fat.

Since Demi Moore (I think it was Demi Moore) done a naked photoshoot while pregnant, we have definitely noticed more pregnant ladies coming in wanting a makeover shot showing off their bumps. People are not afraid to show them off any more.

Lets face it. You will grow old, your kids will grow up and leave your home and the only thing you are left with is your memories and photographs. And that’s something people start to realize more and more and we did see a massive increase in people coming through our door especially over the past 5 years.

On one hand, digital photography is great and has taken photography to the next level. The images are sharper, the colors are amazing and it’s definitely easier to make a decent photograph.

On the other hand, because it’s easier, people think they can fake it and get away with it. As I have mentioned previously, there is so many so called professional photographers out there who make people believe, they’ve done photography for years, are good at it and charge very little.

This is all very well until lets say you book them for a wedding (no place for errors) and when you see the photographs for the first time and realize that that’s nowhere near the quality you’ve expected. Unfortunately for the client, it’s all a bit late as you won’t be able to do it again (unless you get married again).

Then even a full refund of your money wouldn’t make it right. Here you see why I put so much of my effort into advising you about “You get what you pay for”. Do keep this in mind when choosing your next photographer.

This wedding was in Hornchurch, Essex. Emma and Darren met in the army. I felt they were ever so sorted to each other. There photography consisted of a mixture of reportage and posed shots. They wanted not too much of a modern feel for their photography. There wedding album was produced and ready for them in just 2 weeks. I really lovely couple and i wish them a very long and happy marriage.

On this photo shoot the customer wanted a selection of group shots taken and some individual shots. They live in Brentwood, Essex but decided to come to my studio rather than myself coming to their house with the studio equipment for their photography photo shoot. The children were great. Little baby James was a little unsure of everything to start with but before we knew it he was getting in there loving the camera. He had a lovely nature and he was really laughing when it came to the viewing of the photographs on the big screen.

Over the weekend, I (Sarka) and Ross have done yet another wedding. It took place at St Mary’s the Virgin in Little Burstead and the couple (Sarah & Michael) getting married were really nice. They have been relaxed and excited, they knew what they wanted but were very polite and friendly which makes the whole photography job more pleasant for us.

Little Burstead is a lovely place and very popular with weddings. The church itself is quite small which makes it more personal and meaningful. They have lovely grounds all around, you forget all about the city life. Michael and Sarah then left in their hired Royce Royce and made their way to the hall where they spent the rest of the day.

Also we were lucky with the weather as it rained really heavily up to the day before the wedding and on the day itself, it was sunny and warm. It’s funny, but I have known Ross for 3 years and been working alongside him part time, and all this time I don’t remember it raining once. And he does a lot of weddings every year. Ross has his own fully equipped studio or if you are unable to travel, it’s not a problem as we can come to you with all our equipment without having to compromise the quality of the photographs.

Capturing the day was quite easy even though it didn’t finish until 11:00 pm. People were more than happy to have their photos taken and were extremely organised. This has lead me to now doing a wedding for their family.

My TURNAROUND is really quick, sometimes as quick as 1 DAY to get your photos, so don’t worry if you are panicking to get it in time for Mothering Sunday, just make sure you call me as soon as possible to quick booked in and REMEMBER you can save up to 75% compared to Venture prices and other studios.
